부모의 인권 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동이 유아의 인권인식과 부모의 자녀권리존중 및 실행에 미치는 효과

The effect of parents' activities to expand reading human rights picture books on young children's human rights awareness and parents' respect and implementation of children’s rights

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 인권 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동이 유아의 인권인식과 부모의 자녀권리존중및 실행에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 Ch에 소재한 S유치원에 재원 중인 5세 유아와유아의 부모 각각 18명이었다. 본 연구에 참여한 유아의 부모는 자녀와 인권 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동을모두 8주 동안 매주 2회씩 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 첫째, 부모의 인권 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동은자녀의 인권인식에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 인권 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동은부모의 자녀권리존중 및 실행에 긍정적인 효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 부모의 인권 그림책 읽어주기확장 활동이 유아의 인권인식은 물론 자녀와 그림책 읽어주기 확장 활동을 실시하는 부모 자신의 자녀권리존중 및 실행에도 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구는 유아기부터 형성되어야 하는 인권인식이 유아가속해있는 가정환경과 특히 부모에 의해 영향을 받는 다는 점에서 유아의 인권인식은 부모의 자녀권리존중및 실행 증진이 선행되어야 한다는 점을 함축한다. 본 연구는 부모의 인권 의식 함양이 얼마나 중요하며, 가정에서 시작되는 인권 교육이 사회 전반의 인권 의식 향상에 핵심적인 역할을 할 수 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of parents' activities to expand reading human rights picture books on young children's human rights awareness and parents' respect and implementation of children's rights. The subjects of this study were 18 parents of 5-year-old infants and infants enrolled in S kindergarten located in Ch. Parents of infants who participated in this study conducted activities to expand reading of human rights picture books with their children twice a week for 8 weeks. As a result of this study, first, it was found that parents' activities to expand reading of human rights picture books had a significant effect on children's human rights awareness. Second, parents' activities to expand reading of human rights picture books showed a positive effect on parents' respect for and implementation of their children's rights. These results imply that parents' activities to expand reading of human rights picture books with their children have a positive effect on children's human rights awareness as well as their respect for and implementation of their own children's rights. This study implies that children's human rights awareness should be preceded by parents' respect for and implementation of their children's rights in that human rights awareness, which must be formed from infancy, is influenced by the family environment to which children belong, especially parents. This study suggests how important it is to cultivate parents' human rights awareness, and that human rights education that begins at home can play a key role in improving human rights awareness in society as a whole.
