Purpose: This study aims to assess the effects of a combined exercise and nutrition intervention program on muscle mass index, physical performance, and nutritional status in rural community-dwelling older adults with possible sarcopenia. Methods: The study employs a single-group pre-post design, applying a home-based intervention over 12 weeks to individuals over the age of 65 at risk for sarcopenia, from May to September 2024. Results: The average age of the participants is 77.3 years. The program leads to positive outcomes, including improved Short Physical Performance Battery scores (pre 7.30; post 9.08), Mini Nutritional Assessment scores (pre 19.13; post 22.23), and subjective health perception (pre 1.96; post 2.35). Conclusion: It is necessary to expand and apply this combined intervention program to enhance health indicators and daily living for older adults with sarcopenia in rural areas.
