나는 20여 년의 기간 동안 자원활동을 해왔다. 학부 수업을 통해 처음 접한 자원활동은 여러 시행착오를 불러왔고 삶에 있어 반성의 소재가 되었다. 이후 나는 자원활동에서 만나는 학생들에 대한 사고가 전환되며 실천의 모습 또한 변화되었다. 그러므로 교육이 더 나은 삶을 추구한다는 점에서 자원활동 경험은 교육 실천 과정으로 해석될 수 있다. 따라서 자원활동 속에서 발견한 변화와 깨달음은 무엇이고 어떠한 의미를 가지는지 자문화기술지를 통해 접근하고자 했다. 자원활동을 통한 교육적 성찰은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자원활동 대상자에 대한 수혜적 관점에서 탈피했다. 둘째, 상대적 관점의 몰입으로서 이타성이 확대되었다. 셋째, 경계인으로서의 자원활 동가의 위치를 재고할 수 있었다. 넷째, 연구자ㆍ자원활동가의 성찰 과정으로서 자원활동 경험을 인식하게 되었다. 자원활동 경험은 시간의 축적과 함께 또 다른 삶의 과제들을 지속적으로 던져준다. 그렇기에 자원활동은 교육 실천의 또 다른 모습이기도 하다. I have been volunteering for over twenty years. I have been thinking a lot because of the 'volunteer' courses in undergraduate classes. And that experience has become the subject of reflection in life. Since then, I have changed my mind about the students I meet in volunteering, and I have changed an educational praxis. The experience of volunteering can be interpreted as an educational praxis in that, education pursues a better life. Therefore, I researched the changes and enlightenment found in volunteering activities and what they mean through autoethnography. To do this, I approached my volunteering experience by autoethnography. the results are as follows: First, it is out of view of seeing children as the object of help. Second, a relativistic view gave rise to altruism. Third, rethinking the position of volunteers as border people. Fourth, the experience of volunteering was recognized as the researcher & volunteer's reflection process. Volunteering continues to assign life challenges. Volunteering is thus another aspect of educational praxis.
