성찰일지를 통해 살펴본 협동학습에 대한 인식

Recognition of Cooperative Learning through Reflection Journal

2021년부터 2024년까지 개설된 가정교육과 전공수업인 ‘가정생활과 문화’에서 학습자의 협동학습에 대한 인식을 조사하기 위해 협동과제를 진행하고 성찰일지를 작성하게 하였다. 학습자들이 작성한 성찰일지를 질적 분석과 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 통해 분석하였다. 협동학습에 대한 학습자의 인식으로 협동학습을 통해 배운 점, 협동학습의 성공⋅실패 요인, 그리고 협동학습이 향후 교직생활에 미치는 영향으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 학습자들은 가정교과가 비판적이고 실천적인 문제를 다루는 교과이므로, 새로운 지식을 습득하고 다양한 관점에서 문제해결방안을 모색하는 것이 중요하다고 인식했다. 또한 협동과제 수행과정에서 의사소통능력과 모둠원 간의 신뢰가 중요하다고 강조했다. 협동학습의 성공요인으로는 팀워크, 팀원 간의 협력, 공유와 같은 상호의존성 및 협동적 기능 요인, 역할분담과 책임감과 같은 개별 책무성 요인, 그리고 토의와 의사소통 등 상호작용 요인을 꼽았다. 반면 모둠원 간의 갈등을 협동학습의 주된 실패 요인으로, 협동학습에서 학습자들이 가장 어려움을 느끼는 부분이 소통임을 알 수 있었다. 대부분의 학습자는 협동학습이 자기주도적 학습방법으로, 주제설정에서부터 학습방법 설계, 그리고 전달방식까지 예비교사로서의 향후 교직생활에 도움이 된다고 공감하였다. 즉, 협동학습은 교직 생활에 필요한 구체적인 경험을 학습하는 시간이었다고 인식하고 있었다.

In the major course “Culture of Family Life” within the Department of Home Economics Education, offered from 2021 to 2024, students completed a cooperative assignment and were asked to write reflective journals to explore their perceptions of cooperative learning. The students' reflective journals were then analyzed using a qualitative approach and text mining analysis. This study examined students' perceptions of cooperative learning, focusing on what they learned through cooperative learning, the factors contributing to its success or failure, and its impact on their future teaching profession. Students recognized that Home Economics addresses critical and practical issues, making it essential to acquire new knowledge and explore solutions from diverse perspectives. They also emphasized that communication skills and trust among team members are crucial for successfully completing collaborative tasks. The identified success factors of collaborative learning included interdependence and functional factors such as teamwork, cooperation, and sharing among team members, individual accountability factors such as role division and responsibility, and interaction factors like discussion and communication. On the other hand, students identified conflicts among team members as the main cause of failure in collaborative learning, highlighting communication as the most challenging aspect. Most students agreed that collaborative learning, as a self-directed learning method, enhanced their future teaching careers by improving skills in topic selection, teaching method design, and presentation. In summary, students perceived collaborative learning as an opportunity to gain practical experiences valuable for their future roles in the teaching profession.
