의무복무 제대군인 대학생활 적응지원 요구 분석

The Needs Analysis for Adapting to University Life of Returning Students after the Military Service

본 연구는 의무복무 제대군인의 대학생활 적응 지원 요구를 파악하고 대학생활 적응 지원을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 이루어졌다. 이에 문헌분석을 통해 대학생활 적응을 위한 요소를 구체화하고 의무복무 제대군인 및 제대예정군인 812명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, T-test, Borich 요구도, The Locus for Focus 방법을 통해 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과 진로 영역 내 항목의 지원 요구가 전반적으로 높은 것이 확인되었으며, 일부 학습 관련 항목도 요구 수준이 높게 나타났다. 이 밖에 대학생활적응을 위한 정보 제공 측면에서는 장학금, 학자금 대출 등 재정지원 정보와 함께, 학습 및 취창업진로지원 정보제공 요구가 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 연구 결과 주요 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의무복무 제대군인 대학생활 적응 지원을 위해서는 진로 및 학습관련 영역의 최우선적 지원이 요구되며, 특히 진로목표설정, 직업정보 수집, 진로개발계획 수립, 취업 준비 등의 집중적 지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 관계적 측면에서는 교수와의 관계 형성 지원이 요구되며, 셋째, 개인정서적 측면에서는 개인적 상담을 지원할 수 있는 지원체제 마련이 요구된다. 넷째, 대학생활 적응 지원을 위해 학사, 장학, 취창업 등 정보를 종합적으로 제공할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 대학 현장에서 의무복무 제대군인의 대학생활 적응 지원이 활성화될 수 있도록 하는 정책적 지원과 함께 대학 차원의 자구적 노력이 요구된다. 본 연구의 결과는 의무복무 제대군인의 대학생활 적응 지원을 위한 정책 및 제도, 교육프로그램의 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the needs of returning students after the military service for adaptation to university life and derive implications. To this end, we analyzed the elements of univrsity life adaptation through literature analysis and conducted a survey targeting 812 members who experienced military service. In addition, we analyzed them using the T-test, Borich method, and The Locus for Focus method. The results of the study confirmed that the needs for items in the career field were generally high, and some learning-related items also showed high levels of needs. In addition, in terms of providing information for adaptation to university life, the needs for providing financial support information such as scholarships and student loans, as well as information on learning and career support for employment and entrepreneurship, were relatively high. The main implications of the study results are as follows : priority support related to career and learning, support for forming relationships with professors, individual counseling support system, provision of information on college life(academics, scholarships, and entrepreneurship), policy support and expansion of university programs. The results of this study can be used as basic data for policies, systems, and educational programs to support returning students after the military service to adapt to university life.
