다수 치아의 결손을 동반한 골격성 II급 부정교합 환자의 절충 치료 치험례

Camouflage treatment of skeletal Class II malocclusion with multiple missing teeth

다수의 치아가 결손된 경우 교정적 치아 이동에 의한 공간 폐쇄, 임플란트 보철물을 이용한 수복 등 여러 치료방법들을 고려할 수 있으며, 치료계획 수립 시 각각의 치료방법에 수반되는 장점 및 단점에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 또한 환자와의 상담을 통해 환자의 요구사항을 치료계획에 적절히 반영하여 최선의 치료방법을 선택하는 것이 중요하다. 본 증례는 하악 양측 제1소구치의 의원성 결손을 포함하여 다수치아의 결손을 보이는 심한 골격성 II급 부정교합 환자에서 상악의 공간 폐쇄와 하악의 임플란트 수복을 이용하여 적절한 교합달성과 함께 심미적으로 개선된 안모와 미소를 얻었기에 이를 소개하고자 한다.

When multiple teeth are missing, various treatment methods such as space closure through orthodontic tooth movement and restoration using implant prosthesis can be considered, and consideration of advantages and disadvantages associated with each treatment method should be considered when establishing the treatment plan. In addition, it is important to select the best treatment method by appropriately reflecting the patient’s needs in the treatment plan through consultation.1 This case report shows camouflage treatment of severe skeletal Class II malocclusion with multiple missing teeth including iatrogenic absence of both lower first premolar. Through space closure of upper dentition and implant restoration of lower edentulous area, esthetic improvement of facial and smile with proper occlusion was obtained.
