협소한 상악궁을 보이는 골격성 III급 비대칭 환자의 절충 치료 치험례

Camouflage treatment of skeletal Class III facial asymmetry patient with narrow maxillary arch

III급 부정교합의 절충 치료 시 전후방적 부조화로 기인한 골격의 횡적 부조화의 평가 및 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다. 골격적 횡적 부조화가 존재하는 경우 이를 해결하는 것이 바람직한 교합의 형성을 위해서 꼭 필요하다. 본 증례에서는 잔여성장량이 없는 10대 환자에서 상악골의 골격적 확장과 하악 치열의 후방이동을 통하여 개방교합을 동반한 골격성 III급 부정교합 환자를 절충 치료한 치험례를 소개하고자 한다.

For camouflage orthodontic treatment of Class III malocclusion, it is important to evaluate and improve transverse discrepancy caused by anterio-posterior discrepancy. To establish proper occlusion, clinicians must solve the skeletal transverse problem. This case reports shows a grown-up teenager patient of skeletal Class III malocclusion with an openbite treated by nonsurgical skeletal expansion of maxilla and distalization of lower arch.
