The Satisfaction and Improvement Tasks of the Korean Art Therapy Association Members on Academic Activities

본 연구는 국내 미술치료 분야의 변화에 따른 한국미술치료학회 회원들의 학회 활동에 대한 인식과 만족도를 파악하여, 미술치료 분야의 미래 발전을 위한 계획과 전략을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2023년 7월 09일부터 7월 16일까지, 한국미술치료학회 정회원으로 자격 취득자와 자격증 준비과정에 있는 학회원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문내용은 학술영역, 전문인력 양성 영역, 대외협력 및 홍보 영역, 학회원 지원 영역으로 구분하여 구성하였다. 최종 140명의 자료를 분석한 결과 첫째, 학술활동에 대한 만족도는 전반적으로 높았으나 연구비 지원에 대한 만족도는 낮았다. 둘째, 자격검증에 대한 만족도는 중간 수준이었으나, 수퍼비전과 자격시험의 주관식 채점에 대한 아쉬움을 드러내었다. 셋째, 전문상담서비스법을 위한 외부기관과의 협업에 대한 만족도는 높았으나, 미술심리상담사를 위한 외부기관과의 협력 및 홍보활동에 대한 만족도는 낮았다. 넷째, 학회의 지원활동에 대한 만족도는 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 확인된 학회원들의 문제인식과 개선점을 효과적으로 제시하기 위해 학술 및 전문가 양성 활동, 학회원 지원을 위한 대외협력 및 홍보 활동의 측면에서 개선 방향을 제언하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

This study aimed to understand the perceptions and satisfaction of the Korean Art Therapy Association members regarding their association activity participation in domestic art therapy field and explore plans and strategies for the future development of the art therapy sector. To this end, the study conducted a survey from July 9 to July 16, 2023, targeting full members of the Korean Art Therapy Association, including those who acquired qualifications and in certificate processing. The survey content was divided into four areas: academic activities, professional training, external cooperation and promotion, and member support. The analysis of the final data from 140 respondents revealed the following results: First, overall satisfaction with academic activities was high, but satisfaction with research funding support was low. Second, satisfaction with the certification process was at a moderate level, but respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the supervision process and the subjective grading of certification exams. Third, the satisfaction with collaboration with external organizations for the Professional Counseling Service Act was high, but the satisfaction with cooperation and promotional activities for art psychotherapists was low. Fourth, satisfaction with the association's support was low. Based on the identified issues and areas for improvement raised by the members, the study suggested directions for improvement in terms of academic and professional training activities, as well as external cooperation and promotion efforts to better support the members. Based on these research findings, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
