Exploring Research Trends for Proposing AI-Based Curriculum Development Models

본 연구는 2019년부터 2024년까지 발표된 국내외 AI 기반 교육과정 연구 406편을 분석하여, AI 기술이 교육과정의 설계, 운영, 평가에 미치는 영향을 조명하였다. 기존 연구들이 AI 기술의 교육 전반에 미치는 영향을 다룬 것과 달리, 본 연구는 ‘교육과정’에 초점을 맞추어 차별성을 갖는다. 또한, 국내외 연구를 비교·분석하여 지역별 연구의 차이와 공통점을 도출하였다. 텍스트마이닝, 토픽모델링, 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 주요 연구 동향을 분석할 결과, 국내 연구는 교육과정의 구조적 개선과 제도적 적용에 초점을 맞춘 반면, 국외 연구는 개인화 학습 도구 개발과 혁신적 교수법 적용에 중점을 두고 있었다. 또한, AI 교육과정 연구에서 다루어지는 주요 주제가 시기별로 어떻게 변화해 왔는지를 시계열적으로 분석함으로써, AI 기반 교육과정 개발의 방향성을 모색하는 데 유용한 기초자료를 제공하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과와 의미있는 시사점이 AI 기반 교육과정 연구의 방향성을 제시하며, 교육 혁신과 질적 향상을 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

This study analyzed 406 research papers on AI-based curriculum published domestically and internationally from 2019 to 2024, highlighting the impact of AI technology on curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation. Unlike previous studies that broadly examined AI’s influence on education, this study focused specifically on "curriculum," establishing its distinctiveness. Additionally, a comparative analysis of domestic and international research identified regional differences and commonalities. Using text mining, topic modeling, and network analysis, the study examined key research trends, revealing that domestic research emphasized structural improvements and institutional applications of curricula, whereas international research focused on developing personalized learning tools and applying innovative teaching methods. Furthermore, by analyzing the temporal trends of key topics in AI-based curriculum research, this study provides a valuable foundation for exploring future directions in AI-driven curriculum development. The findings and insights derived from this research are expected to guide AI-based curriculum studies and serve as fundamental resources for advancing educational innovation and quality improvement.
