대학 신입생의 교육공정성 인식이 수업만족도, 역량향상기대와 대학몰입에 미치는 영향 분석

The Effect of Freshmen’s Educational Fairness on Class Satisfaction, Competency Improvement Expectations, and University Involvement

본 연구는 대학생이 인식한 교육공정성 인식이 대학몰입에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 조직공정성 이론을 활용하여 신입생의 교육공정성 인식과 수업만족도, 대학에서의 역량향상기대, 대학몰입 간의 구조적 영향 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 분석에는 한국교육개발원의‘대학의 교수·학습 질 제고 전략 탐색 연구(NASEL)’의 2023년 데이터를 사용하였고, 분석 방법으로는 구조방정식모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과 다음과 같은 결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 교육공정성 인식의 세 차원인 분배공정성, 절차공정성, 상호작용공정성은 대학 신입생의 수업만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 교육공정성 인식 중 절차공정성은 대학 신입생의 역량향상기대에 긍정적인 영향을 미치나, 분배공정성은 역량향상기대에 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 대학 신입생의 교육공정성 인식 중 절차공정성과 상호작용공정성은 신입생의 대학몰입에 간접적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치나, 분배공정성은 대학몰입에 간접적으로 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 대학생 학업중단 연구에 대한 시사점과 대학에서의 신입생 적응 및 학사관리에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study aims to analyze the impact of perceived educational fairness on their university involvement. Using organizational justice theory, the study examines the structural relationships between freshmen’s perceived educational fairness, class satisfaction, expectations for competency improvement, and university involvement. The analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling with data from the 2023 National Assessment of Student Engagement in Learning(NASEL), conducted by the Korean Educational Development Institute. The findings are as follows: First, the three dimensions of perceived educational fairness—distributive fairness, procedural fairness, and interactional fairness—positively influence freshmen’s class satisfaction. Second, among these dimensions, procedural fairness positively affects freshmen’s expectations for competency improvement, whereas distributive fairness has a negative impact on these expectations. Third, procedural fairness and interactional fairness indirectly have a positive impact on university involvement, while distributive fairness has a negative impact on university involvement. Based on these results, implications for research on college student dropout and insights into freshman adaptation and academic management at universities were presented.
