Development of FAT Group Counseling Program for Breath, Rest, and Wellness

This study aims to develop a program to help alleviate job stress and ultimately promote wellness. The researcher structured a 12-session group counseling program “Breath, Rest, and Wellness” by applying Food Art Therapy to five psychological characteristics derived from the life-world of Koreans. It aimed to alleviate job stress by simultaneously activating individual psychological resources and social support. This program is significant in that it approached in-depth job stress than the existing problem-centered approach that dealt with job stress piecemeal. It is expected that a more elaborate program will be established and distributed to the local community through verification of effectiveness in the future.
