영랑호와 경포호의 조류분포와 교육적 활용 방안 탐색

Bird Distribution in Yongnang-ho Lake and Gyeongpo-ho Lake and Investigation of their Potential for Educational Use

영랑호와 경포호는 동해안의 대표적인 석호로서 생물다양성이 높고 접근성이 좋아 생태탐사교육에 활용할 가치가 높다. 두 호수에서 조류분포를 조사하고 교육적으로 활용할 수 있는 가치를 살펴보았다. 조류 분포조사는 1년 동안 계절별로 1회씩 실시하였으며, 결과를 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 탐조활동을 통한 생태교육에 적합한 계절과 장소를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 조류 탐사활동은 두 호수 모두 가능하였으나 경포호가 더 적절하였으며, 계절은 겨울철이 가장 적합하였고, 다음은 봄철이었다. 영랑호와 경포호는 항상 조류를 관찰할 수 있는 장소로서 생태교육이나 기후변화 관련 현장교육의 장소로 활용한다면 성과를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Yongnang-ho and Gyeongpo-ho Lakes are two major lagoons on the east coast of South Korea. The two lakes exhibit high biodiversity and are easily accessible to the public, which makes them potentially valuable sites for ecological exploration. This study investigated the distribution of birds in these two lakes and their potential use in education. It conducted a bird distribution survey once per season over the course of one year, and the results of this survey were analyzed to identify the most suitable seasons and locations for ecological education through birdwatching activities. The findings indicate that birdwatching was possible at both lakes with Gyeongpo-ho Lake being more suitable. The best season for birdwatching was winter followed by spring. Given that both lakes enabled consistent observations of local bird populations, they were considered to hold a significant potential for ecological education and field studies related to climate change.
