A Case Report of a Class II Dental Malocclusion with Complete Canine-Premolar Transposition Using Intentional Lingual Displacement

This case report presents a non-extraction treatment of a Class II dental malocclusion with complete canine-premolar transposition. To treat the transposed teeth, the first premolar was intentionally displaced lingually to allow the canine to be properly positioned. The Class II malocclusion was corrected by distalizing the maxillary molars. After treatment, the transposed teeth were repositioned to their normal positions, achieving proper occlusion. Even after 1 year and 9 months in the retention phase, the patient maintained a stable occlusal relationship and periodontal health.
