학령기 아동이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육행동이 공격성에 미치는 영향: 기본심리욕구 좌절의 매개 효과

Influence of Negative Parenting Behavior Perceived by School-Aged Children on Aggression: Mediating Effects of Basic Psychological Needs Frustration

연구목적: 본 연구는 학령기 아동이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육행동과 공격성 간의 관계에서 기본심리욕구 좌절의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 전북 J시와 I시에 소재한 초등학교에 재학 중인 5학년∼6학년 아동 374명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램과 Hayes (2013)의 PROCESS macro model 4를 통해 매개 효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 학령기 아동이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육행동, 자율성, 유능성, 관계성의 욕구좌절, 공격성 간에는 유의한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부정적 양육행동과 공격성 간의 관계에서는 유능성의 욕구좌절만이 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론: 본 연구결과 부모의 부정적 양육행동과 유능성의 욕구좌절이 아동의 공격성을 가중시키는 요인임이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아동의 공격성을 감소시키기 위해서는 유능성의 욕구가 좌절되지 않도록 부모의 부정적인 양육환경을 개선할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.

Objective: This study examined the mediating effects of frustration with basic psychological needs on the relationship between negative parenting behavior perceived by school-aged children and aggression. Methods: Participants were 374 fifth-to sixth-grade children in Cities J and I, Jeollabuk-do. Mediation analyses were performed on the collected data using Process macro in SPSS 25.0 Results: First all major variables were significantly correlated. Second, the analysis of the mediating effects revealed that the competence-need frustration of basic psychological needs mediates the relationship between negative parenting behavior and aggression. Conclusions: Negative parenting behavior and children's competence lead to important in children’s aggression. Improving negative parenting environments is necessary to prevent frustration with children's competence need and thereby reduce aggression.
