치과위생사의 장애인식개선교육에 대한 인식 연구

A study on the perception of dental hygienists disability awareness improvement education

이 연구는 치과위생사가 직장 내 장애인식개선교육의 대해서 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 알아보고, 이 교육과 관련하여 개인적, 국가적 차원에서 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 치과의료기관에 근무하는 5명의 치과위생사를 대상으로 화상회의 플랫폼을 이용한 초점집단인터뷰(FGI)를 시행하였고, 내용분석기법을 사용하여 대주제 및 하위주제를 도출하고 그에 관련한 내용을 기술하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 연구참여자들의 장애인에 대한 경험과 연구참여자들이 인식하고 있는 장애인의 대한 인식수준을 알아보았다. 둘째, 연구참여자들의 직장 내 장애인식개선교육의 교육받은 경험과 그 경험을 바탕으로 하는 연구참여자들의 직장 내 장애인식개선교육의 대한 인식을 탐색하였다. 마지막으로 사업장의 특수성이 고려된 직장 내 장애인식교육의 필요성과 직장 내 사업주의 장애인식교육과 관련한 지원의 필요성에 대한 요구 등이 제시되었으며, 장애인식개선교육이 나아갈 방향에 관하여 개인적, 국가적 관심과 노력의 필요성이 제시되었다. 이 연구는 치과위생사의 직장 내 장애인식개선교육에 대한 인식 수준을 파악하는 데 기초적 자료를 제공했다는 점에 의의를 가지고 있다.

This study aims to find out how dental hygienists perceive disability awareness improvement education in the workplace and to suggest directions for this education at the individual and national levels. Accordingly, a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted using a video conferencing platform with five dental hygienists working in dental medical institutions, and content analysis techniques were used to derive major themes and subthemes and describe the related content. As a result of the study, first, the participants’ experiences with disabilities and their level of awareness of disabilities were investigated. Second, the participants’ experiences of receiving disability awareness improvement education in the workplace and their perceptions of disability awareness improvement education based on those experiences were explored. Finally, the need for disability awareness education in the workplace that takes into account the unique characteristics of the workplace and the need for support from employers related to disability awareness education in the workplace were raised, and the need for individual and national interest and effort was suggested regarding the direction in which disability awareness improvement education should proceed. This study is significant in that it provides basic data for determining the level of awareness of dental hygienists regarding disability awareness improvement training in the workplace.
