국어 교과와 연계한 스킬스트리밍 프로그램이 초등 저학년 발달장애 학생에게 미치는 영향

The Effects of a Skillstreaming Program Linked to Korean Language Curriculum on the Social Skills, Self-Expression Abilities, and Teacher-Student Relationship Perceptions of Lower-Grade Elementary Students with Developmental Disabilities

이 연구는 국어 교과와 연계한 스킬스트리밍 프로그램이 초등 저학년 발달장애 학생의 사회성 기술, 자기표현 능력 및 특수교사와의 관계에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 서울, 경기, 충남, 전북에 소재한 초등학교 특수학급에 소속된 저학년 발달장애 학생 18명으로 이 중 9명의 실험집단 학생이 8주간 16회기의 프로그램에 참여하였다. 본 연구는 사전-사후 통제집단 설계를 적용하였고, 각 종속변인에 대한 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전-사후 차이 점수 간에 유의한 차이가 있는지를 독립표본 t 검정을 사용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단과 참여하지 않은 통제집단 발달장애 학생의 사회성 기술 변화 정도 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 실험집단과 통제집단 발달장애 학생의 자기표현 능력 변화 정도 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 실험집단과 통제집단 학생과의 관계에 대한 특수교사의 인식 변화 정도 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구는 교육과정과 연계한 사회성 기술 교수 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 검증했다는 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a Skillstreaming program linked to Korean language curriculum on the social skills, self-expression abilities, and relationship with special educators of students with developmental disabilities in lower grades of elementary schools. Eighteen students with developmental disabilities in lower grades who belonged to special classes at elementary schools located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk participated in the study and nine among them were provided with the program for 16 sessions over 8 weeks. This study applied a pre-post control group design, and used an independent samples t test to find out if there was a significant difference between the two groups. The results are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference between groups in social skills. Second, there was a statistically significant difference between groups in self-expression abilities. Third, a significant difference was found between groups in special educators’ perceptions of their relationships with participating students. This study is significant in that it developed and applied a social skills instruction program linked to the curriculum and verified its effectiveness.
