본 연구는 AI 디지털교과서(AIDT) 도입을 앞둔 일반학교 시각장애인 교사의 인식과 교직 수행 과정에서 예상되는 어려움 및 혼란을 탐색하고, 이에 대한 지원 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 시각장애인 교사 3명을 연구 참여자로 선정하고, 반구조화된 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 연구 참여자들은 AIDT에 대해 대체로 부정적인 인식을 보였으며, 이와 관련해 시각장애 교사를 위한 안내 및 지원체계의 미흡, 비장애인 위주로 설계된 AIDT, 교과서 선정 시 의사 반영 등의 어려움, 시각장애 교사의 역할 축소 및 위기의식 등의 주제가 도출되었다. 또한, AIDT 도입 시 발생할 수 있는 어려움으로는 접근성 부족, 실시간 피드백 및 학습 진행 확인의 어려움, 스크린리더와의 호환성 문제, 보조 자료 활용의 제한 등이 언급되었다. 지원 및 개선 방안으로는 접근성 강화, 개발 단계에서 시각장애 교사 요구 반영 및 집필 참여, 지원책 마련, 법적 규정 강화 등의 필요성이 제시되었다. 결과를 바탕으로 AIDT 접근성 개선을 위한 기술적 조치, 가이드라인 및 맞춤형 연수 제공, 공식 협의체 구성, 법·제도적 개선 및 정책적 지원 등을 논의하였다.
This study explores the perceptions of visually impaired teachers in general schools regarding the introduction of AI Digital Textbooks (AIDT), the anticipated challenges in their teaching practice, and possible support measures. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three visually impaired teachers. The findings reveal predominantly negative perceptions of AIDT due to the lack of guidance and support, its design favoring non-disabled users, limited involvement in textbook selection, and concerns over the diminishing role of visually impaired teachers. Anticipated challenges include accessibility issues, difficulties in real-time feedback and tracking student progress, incompatibility with screen readers, and restricted use of supplementary materials. To address these concerns, participants emphasized improving accessibility, involving visually impaired teachers in AIDT development and authorship, establishing comprehensive support measures, and strengthening legal regulations. Based on these findings, this study highlights the need for technological improvements, customized training programs, official consultation bodies, and policy support to ensure inclusive implementation.
