영유아교사의 돌봄에 대한 개념도 연구

A Concept Mapping Study on Early Childhood Teachers' Perceptions of Caring

연구목적: 본 연구는 영유아교사가 실천하는 돌봄의 의미와 이를 통해 형성되는 구조적 특성을 심층적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자는 교육 경력 2년 이상의 영유아교사 22명으로 구성되었으며, 집단면담을 통해 교사들이 인식하는 돌봄의 의미와 경험, 그리고 이를 둘러싼 교육적･사회적 맥락을 공유하였다. 면담 내용을 분석하여 총 47개의 진술문을 도출한 후, 교사들의 진술문 간 유사성을 평가하도록 하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 다차원 척도 분석과 군집분석을 실시하였다. 또한 각 진술문에 대한 영유아교사들의 동의 정도를 5점 척도로 평정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 돌봄의 개념도는 ‘공동체적 돌봄’, ‘서비스로의 돌봄’, ‘돌봄의 책무와 경계’, ‘돌봄의 전문성’으로 명명된 4개의 군집으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 영유아교사는 ‘돌봄의 전문성’과 ‘공동체적 돌봄’을 가장 높게 인식하였으며, ‘서비스로의 돌봄’에 대한 동의는 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구는 영유아교사들의 이야기로부터 구성된 개념도를 통해 우리 돌봄의 다중적 의미와 현상, 목소리를 드러내고, 이를 기반으로 공동체와 함께 돌보는 교육과 사회로 나아가기 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

Purpose: This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the meanings of care practiced by early childhood teachers and to explore the structural characteristics shaped through these practices. Method: Participants consisted of 22 early childhood teachers with more than two years of teaching experience. Through focus group interviews, the teachers shared their perceptions of the meaning and experiences of care, as well as the surrounding educational and social contexts. A total of 47 statements were derived from the interview data and teachers evaluated the similarity among the statements. Based on these evaluations, multidimensional scaling analysis and cluster analysis were conducted. Additionally, the teachers rated their level of agreement with each statement on a five-point scale, and these ratings were analyzed. Results: First, the concept map of care was categorized into four clusters: ‘community-based care’, ‘service-oriented care’, ‘responsibilities and boundaries of care’, and ‘professionalism in care’. Second, early childhood teachers perceived ‘professionalism in care’ and ‘community-based care’ as the most significant, while showing relatively low agreement with ‘service-oriented care’. Conclusion: This study revealed the multifaceted meanings, phenomena, and voices of care through a conceptual map constructed from the narratives of early childhood teachers. Based on these findings, discussions were held on how to collaborate with the community to foster a caring approach in education and society.
