2022 개정 교육과정 고등학교 가정과 교과서의 저출산⋅고령사회 내용 분석

Analysis of Educational Content Related to Low Birthrate and Aging Society in High School Home Economics Textbook of 2022 Revised Curriculum

본 연구의 목적은 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 가정 교과서에 제시된 저출산⋅고령사회 관련 내용을 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 4가지 대영역과 71개의 내용요소로 구성된 저출산⋅고령사회 대비 학교 인구교육 내용 체계를 기준으로 교과서 11종을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 고등학교 가정 교과서는 저출산⋅고령사회 대비 학교 인구교육 내용 체계의 대영역 가족(83.64%), 복지(77.01%), 인간 존중(64.17%), 인구(63.02%)의 순으로 관련 내용을 포함하고 있었고, 중영역에서는 출산과 양육(88.64%), 고령화(86.36%)의 내용이 많았다. 소영역에서는 부모 됨, 고령자의 인권, 생애 설계와 노후준비, 건강한 가족, 고령 친화 정책, 가족 친화 정책, 저출산의 전망 내용이 많았다. 반면 인구 개념과 인구 구조, 인구 변동과 사회 변화, 소수자 평등의 내용은 부족하였다. 이와 같이 고등학교 가정 교과서는 저출산⋅고령사회 대비 학교 인구교육 내용 체계에 제시된 71개의 내용요소 중 67개의 내용요소를 포함하고 있었으며, 특히 저출산의 문제점과 해결방안을 포함한 35개의 내용요소는 90% 이상의 교과서에서 제시하고 있었다. 이상으로 본 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정 고등학교 가정 교과서가 저출산⋅고령사회에 대비한 인구교육 내용을 3개 단원에 걸쳐 다양하게 제시하고 있음을 확인한 것에 의의가 있으며, 내용요소의 보완과 가정 교과의 인식 제고 측면에서 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents related to the low birthrate and aging society presented in the high school home economics textbook according to the 2022 revised curriculum. To this end, the results of analyzing 11 textbooks based on the school population education content system compared to the low birthrate and aging society consisting of four major areas and 71 content elements are as follows. The analysis revealed that high school home economics textbooks included relevant content in the following order of major domains: family (83.64%), welfare (77.01%), respect for human beings (64.17%), and population (63.02%). In the middle domains, there was a significant amount of content on childbirth and parenting (88.64%) and aging (86.36%). In the subdomains, topics such as parenthood, the rights of the elderly, life planning and preparation for old age, healthy families, age-friendly policies, family-friendly policies, and projections on the low birthrate were prevalent. Conversely, there was a lack of content on concepts of population and population structure, population changes and social transformations, and equality for minorities. Overall, the high school home economics textbooks included 67 out of the 71 content elements presented in the school population education content system for addressing the low birthrate and aging society. Notably, 35 content elements, including issues and solutions related to the low birthrate, were presented in over 90% of the textbooks. As mentioned above, this study is meaningful in confirming that the 2022 revised curriculum high school home economics textbook presents various population education contents for the low birthrate and aging society across three units, and presents implications in terms of supplementing content elements and raising awareness of home subjects.
