Study on Ways to Activate the e-sports Referee System

이 연구는 국내·외 e스포츠 심판 관리 현황 및 문제 사례를 확인하고, 한계점을 분석하여 향후 e스포츠 심판제도의 발전 방향성을 모색함으로써 e스포츠 심판 운영 제도의 개선과 전문성을 강화할 수 있는 비전을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 질적 연구 방법인 면담을 통하여, e스포츠 현장 전문가들의 의견과 사례를 살핌으로써 e스포츠 심판제도의 활성화 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 각 분야별로 나누어 e스포츠 심판, 감독, 선수를 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 첫째, e스포츠 심판 선발과정에서 우수한 e스포츠 심판 자원을 양성하기 위한 구체적인 방안으로는 명확한 선발 기준과 교육 과정을 마련해야 한다. e스포츠에는 여러 종목이 존재하기 때문에, 이에 맞는 심판 선발이 중요하고, 교육 및 관리를 시행해야 한다. 둘째, e스포츠 심판 교육 체제를 위한 구축으로 급수별, 장르별, 종목별 교육의 시행과 전문성 강화를 위한 정기교육, 보수교육 등 보다 체계적인 교육 커리큘럼의 개발과 양질의 교육이 선행되어야 한다. 셋째, e스포츠 심판 전문성 강화를 위해, 심판의 분류를 보다 명확히 하여, 심판 사후관리에 힘써야 한다. 심판의 역량을 상시적으로 파악하여, 상황에 맞는 교육과 관리를 시행해야한다. 마지막으로 e스포츠 심판 조직 관리로 교육 연수 프로그램의 개선, 심판 관리 체계의 개선, e스포츠 전문 심판 양성을 위한 독자적이고 전문적인 기관이나 부서가 운영될 필요성이 있다.

The purpose of this study is to present a vision for improving the e-sports referee management system and strengthening expertise by identifying the current status and problem cases of e-sports referee management at home and abroad, analyzing limitations, and seeking future development directions for the e-sports referee system. The research method was a qualitative research method called interviews, and attempted to derive ways to revitalize the e-sports referee system by examining the opinions and cases of e-sports field experts. The research subjects were divided into each field, and e-sports referees, coaches, and players were selected as research participants. First, in the e-sports referee selection process, clear selection criteria and training courses must be established as a specific measure to foster excellent e-sports referee resources. Since there are multiple events in e-sports, it is important to select appropriate referees and provide training and management. Second, in establishing an e-sports referee education system, the development of a more systematic education curriculum and quality education, such as implementation of education by level, genre, and event, as well as regular education and continuing education to strengthen expertise, must be preceded. Third, in order to strengthen the expertise of e-sports referees, the classification of referees should be made clearer and efforts should be made to follow-up management of referees. The capabilities of referees must be constantly monitored and training and management tailored to the situation must be implemented. Lastly, there is a need to operate an independent and specialized organization or department to manage the e-sports referee organization, improve education and training programs, improve the referee management system, and cultivate professional e-sports referees.
