대학생의 거부민감성이 자살사고에 미치는 영향: 인지적 유연성과 비자기결정적 고독 동기의 순차적 매개효과

Effects of Rejection Sensitivity on Suicidal Ideation: Sequential Mediating Effects of Cognitive Flexibility and Not-Self-Deterministic Solitude Motivation

본 연구는 대학생들의 거부민감성이 자살사고에 미치는 영향에서 인지적 유연성과 비자기결정적 고독 동기의 역할을 검증하고 자살사고를 감소하기 위한 개입 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 재학 및 휴학 중인 대학생을 대상으로 2024년 11월 30일부터 2024년 12월 14일까지 약 2주 간 설문조사를 실시하고 SPSS 30.0과 AMOS 26.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거부민감성과 자살사고의 관계에서 인지적 유연성이 매개하지 않았다. 둘째, 비자기결정적 고독 동기가 거부민감성과 자살사고의 관계를 매개하였다. 셋째, 거부민감성과 자살사고의 관계에서 인지적 유연성과 비자기결정적 고독 동기는 순차적으로 완전 매개하는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 청년세대의 사회적 고립에 대한 개입 방안을 마련하는 기틀로서 인지적 유연성이 비자기결정적 고독을 예방할 수 있는 보호 요인이라는 점을 밝혀냈다는 것에 의의가 있다. 아울러 상담 장면에서 자살사고를 예방하기 위한 개입 방안을 제안하고 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of cognitive flexibility and not-self-deterministic solitude motivation in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and suicidal ideation among university students, and to explore intervention strategies to reduce suicidal ideation. To achieve this, a survey was conducted from November 30, 2024, to December 14, 2024, targeting domestic university students who are either currently enrolled or on leave. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 30.0 and AMOS 26.0 statistical software packages. The results of the study are as follows: First, cognitive flexibility did not mediate the relationship between rejection sensitivity and suicidal ideation. Second, not-self-deterministic solitude motivation mediated the relationship between rejection sensitivity and suicidal ideation. Third, cognitive flexibility and not-self-deterministic solitude motivation sequentially and fully mediated the relationship between rejection sensitivity and suicidal ideation. The findings of this study are significant in that they highlight cognitive flexibility as a protective factor that can prevent not-self-deterministic solitude, providing a foundation for interventions aimed at social isolation among the youth. Additionally, intervention strategies for preventing suicidal ideation in counseling settings are proposed, and suggestions for future research are offered.
