Comparison of Retention According to the 1:2 Eyelash Extension Technique

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the retention power of 1:2 eyelash extensions performed in a shop for women. To this end, a comparative study was conducted through a tensile test and an observation experiment for 4 weeks after the procedure, using the patented upper and lower attachment method as the experimental group and the left and right attachment method as the control group among 1:2 double techniques. The tensile test was performed by making 20 samples of extensions for the experimental group and the control group each. The observation experiment was conducted by applying 50 experimental groups on the right eye and 50 control groups on the left eye and then counting the number of remaining eyelash extensions for 4 weeks for 20 adult women aged 20 to 49 who agreed to the purpose of the study. The research results are as follows. Among 1:2 double techniques, the upper and lower attachment method showed no significant difference in tensile strength but it was more superior in retention power compared to the left and right attachment method. It is judged that the results of this study can provide data that can be practically applied in the field of eyelash extension shops in the future and increase satisfaction of consumers.
