심리상담자가 인식하는 진로상담 수행의 어려움에 관한 개념도 연구

A Concept Mapping Study on the Difficulties in Career Counseling Perceived by Psychological Counselors

본 연구는 심리상담자가 인식하는 진로상담 수행의 어려움을 파악하고자 하는 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 개념도(concept mapping) 연구방법과 절차에 따라 연구를 수행하였으며 총 15명의 현직 심리상담자를 대상으로 2차례에 걸쳐 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1차로 수집된 자료에 대한 질적분석을 통해 심리상담자가 인식하는 진로상담 수행의 어려움을 설명하는 59개 진술문을 도출하였다. 둘째, 2차로 수집된 자료에 대한 양적분석 결과를 고려하여, 진로상담수행의 어려움에 관한 인식 차원은 2개의 차원으로 결정하였다. X축은 ‘수련체계 및 환경-개인의 인식’ 차원, Y축은 ‘상담자-내담자’ 차원으로 명명하였다. 셋째, 59개 진술문에 대한 군집분석 결과와 내용적 특성 등을 고려하여 4개의 군집을 도출하였다. 군집에 대한 중요도와 경험도 평정 점수가 높은 순서로 제시하면 ‘진로상담 교육·훈련 기회 부족(군집3)’, ‘진로 관련 정보 및 정보 탐색 기술 부족(군집2)’, ‘내담자 문제 이해와 맞춤형 진로 지원에 대한 부담(군집1)’, ‘상담자의 진로상담 필요성 인식과 효능감 부족(군집4)’의 순이었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 상담자 교육의 관점에서 시사점 및 제언을 제시하였다.

This study aims to identify the difficulties perceived by psychological counselors in conducting career counseling. A concept mapping methodology was applied to achieve this, with 15 practicing psychological counselors participating in two phases. First, 59 statements were derived through qualitative analysis, reflecting perceived difficulties in career counseling. Second, quantitative analysis revealed two dimensions representing difficulties: “Training System and Environment vs. Individual Perception” (X-axis) and “Counselor vs. Client” (Y-axis). Third, a cluster analysis of the 59 statements resulted in four clusters. In order of importance and experience ratings, the clusters were: ‘Lack of career counseling education and training opportunities’, ‘Lack of career-related information and information-searching skills’, ‘Burden of understanding client issues and providing tailored career support’, and ‘Counselors’ low recognition of the necessity of career counseling and lack of self-efficacy’. The study offers implications and recommendations for counselor education based on these findings.
