사도 바울의 진성리더십에 관한 연구 - 사도행전과 바울 서신을 중심으로 -

A Study on Authentic Leadership of Apostle Paul - Focusing on the Acts of the Apostles and Paul's Letters -

최근 한국의 기독교는 신뢰성을 상실하고, 급격히 쇠퇴하고 있다. 그 원인 중 대표적인 것은 기독교 리더들의 비윤리적이고 불합리한 행태이다. 따라서 기독교 리더들의 진정성과 윤리성을 회복하는 것은, 오늘날 한국 교회에서 중요한 사안이다. 본 연구의 목적은 사도 바울의 사역 속에서 진성리더십의 요인들을 발견하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 먼저 선행연구를 기반으로 진성리더십의 개념과 그 구성요인 (자아인식, 내재화된 도덕적 관점, 균형잡힌 정보처리, 관계적 투명성)에 대해 정 리하였다. 그리고 사도행전과 바울 서신을 검토하여 바울이 보여준 진성리더십을 분석하였다. 그결과, 바울의 사역 속에서 진성리더십의 구성요인 네 가지에 대하 여 각각 대표적인 성경 구절 3개씩과 이를 부연하는 많은 성경 구절을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 최근 경영학에서 많은 관심을 받고 있는 진성리더십의 관점에서 성경 인물인 바울의 리더십을 분석한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 진성리더십에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되어 왔지만 성경 인물을 대상으로 한 연구는 그동안 거의 없다는 점에서 본 연구는 독창성이 있다. 또한 교회에서 사도 바울이 갖는 무게감을 고려할 때, 본 연구가 교회 리더들의 도덕성과 진정성 회복에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

In recent years, Christianity in Korea has faced a crisis of credibility, marked by the unethical and unreasonable behavior of some Christian leaders. As a result, restoring authenticity and ethical integrity in church leadership has become a critical issue. This study aims to identify the key factors of authentic leadership in the ministry of the Apostle Paul. Drawing on previous research, this study synthesizes the concept of authentic leadership and its core components: self-awareness, internalized moral perspective, balanced processing of information, and relational transparency. A thorough examination of the Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s epistles reveals compelling evidence of his authentic leadership. Specifically, three representative biblical passages, along with numerous additional scriptures, were identified for each of the four components of authentic leadership in Paul's ministry. This study is significant in that it analyzes the leadership of Paul—a pivotal biblical figure—through the lens of authentic leadership, a framework that has gained considerable attention in contemporary business administration. While various studies have explored authentic leadership, few have applied this concept to biblical figures. Given Paul's profound influence on the church, this study is expected to contribute meaningfully to the restoration of moral and authentic leadership within Korean Christianity.
