여성 청년들의 시에 나타난 세계의 폭력성 인식과 ‘오지 않을 미래’에 대한 기다림 - 정다연, 주민현, 박규현을 중심으로 -

Perception of the World’s Violence and Waiting for a ‘Future That Will Not Come’ in the Poetry of Female Youth - Focusing on Jung Da-yeon, Joo Min-hyun, and Park Kyu-hyun -

이 연구는 정다연, 주민현, 박규현의 시를 중심으로 21세기 한국사회의 여성 청년들의 현실 및 미래 인식을 검토하였다. 시적 자아는 자신이 속한 일상세계의 폭력성 그리고 약자를 향한 모욕을 인식하면서도 자신 역시 이 세계에 연루되어있음을 인식한다. 대도시의 일원으로서 거대한 세계와 자신을 분리할 수 없음을 인식하며, 이들은 세계의 폭력성을 은폐하지 않고 타자와 연대하려는 윤리적 책무를 이행한다. 곧 미약한 개인으로 회귀하는 대신, 개인의 과거 그리고 사회와 역사가 잊으려 한 사건들을 회상하고, 이 사건 너머에 숨은 욕망과 희망, 더 나아가 미래를 포착하려 애쓰기 때문이다. 이러한 시적 실천은 정다연의 경우 침묵하는 존재들의 형상화로, 주민현에게서는 산책자의 모습을 통해서 마지막으로 박규현에게서는 자기 몫을 받지 못한 유령의 모습으로 재현된다. 무엇을 망각하려 하지 않는 태도, 더 나은 것을 탐색하려는 지향성은 아직 도래하지 않았으나 언젠가는 올 미래를 고대하는 태도로 읽을 수 있다. 여성 청년들의 인식을 이 세 시인만으로 압축하기는 어렵다는 점을 이 연구의 한계로 삼을 수 있겠다. 이는 21세기 여성-청년 시인의 계보 탐색으로, 추후 연구 과제로 설정하고자 한다.

This study examines the self-perception and worldview of young women in 21st-century Korean society through the poetry of Jeong Da-yeon, Joo Min-hyun, and Park Kyu-hyun. The poetic subjects recognize the violence embedded in the everyday world they inhabit and the humiliation directed toward the weak, while simultaneously acknowledging their own complicity in this world. As members of a sprawling urban landscape, they realize they cannot separate themselves from the vastness of the world. Rather than concealing its violence, they undertake an ethical responsibility to stand in solidarity with others. Instead of retreating into the fragility of the individual, they recall personal pasts and events that society and history have sought to forget, striving to uncover the desires, hopes, and even futures hidden beyond these incidents. This poetic practice manifests in Jeong Da-yeon’s work as the embodiment of silenced beings, in Joo Min-hyun’s as the figure of a wanderer, and in Park Kyu-hyun’s as the image of a ghost who has not received its due share. Their refusal to forget and their pursuit of something better can be interpreted as an attitude of longing for a future that has not yet arrived but is anticipated someday. A limitation of this study lies in the difficulty of encapsulating the perceptions of young women solely through these three poets. This research serves as an exploration of the genealogy of 21st-century female-young poets, setting the stage for future investigations.
