Developing child counseling data for AI learning and counseling tools for screening children at risk

최근 인공지능(AI) 기술은 다양한 산업과 학문 분야에서 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있으며, 아동 상담 및 정신건강 분야에서도 점차 활용이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 아동학대 탐지 및 위기아동 선별을 위한 AI 기반 도구 개발은 아동 보호와 조기 개입의 중요한 수단이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 AI 학습용 아동 상담 데이터 구축 및 위기아동 선별을 위한 도구 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 선행도구 및 관련 문헌조사를 통해 상담 관련 전문가 교수 3인이 아동을 위한 상담도구를 개발하고, 라벨링 기준을 수립하였다. 또한 상담도구의 표준화 사용 교육을 받은 임상심리사 26명을 통해 총 3,596명의 상담 데이터를 수집하였고, 임상심리사의 라벨링 평가 동질성 검사를 통해 평가 분류의 정확성과 타당성을 확보하였다. 또한 아동 상태 분류를 위한 AI학습모델 3개를 선정하여 수집한 데이터를 학습시키고 그 유효성을 분석하여 높은 품질의 데이터를 확보한 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 기관생명윤리심의위원회의 승인을 받았다. 연구 결과는 AI 기술을 활용하여 아동 상담 및 정신건강 관리의 접근성을 향상시키고, 위기아동 보호 시스템을 개선하는 데 중요한 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 의의가 있다. 또한, 실질적인 상담 환경에서의 적용 가능성을 높이고, 향후 AI 기반 상담 시스템의 지속적인 발전 방향을 제시하였다.

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence(AI) technology have played a crucial role across various industries and academic fields, with its application in child counseling and mental health management steadily increasing. In particular, the development of AI-based tools for detecting child abuse and identifying at-risk children has the potential to serve as a key mechanism for child protection and early intervention. This study aims to develop tools for building AI training datasets for child counseling and identifying children at risk. To achieve this, this study developed a counseling tool for children and established labeling criteria through a review of prior tools and related literature. A total of 3,596 counseling datasets were collected by 26 clinical psychologists trained in the standardized use of the counseling tool. The accuracy and validity of the evaluation classification were ensured through inter-rater reliability testing of the psychologists’ labeling assessments. Furthermore, three AI learning models for classifying children's conditions were selected, trained using the collected data, and analyzed for effectiveness, confirming the acquisition of high-quality data. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The findings of this study highlight the significance of AI technology in enhancing accessibility to child counseling and mental health management, as well as improving child protection systems. Moreover, this research provides fundamental data for the application of AI in practical counseling settings and suggests directions for the continuous development of AI-based counseling systems in the future.
