대학생들의 동화책 제작 경험에 관한 질적 연구- Kolb의 경험 학습이론의 관점으로 -

A Qualitative Study on College Students' Experience of Producing Picture Books - From the perspective of Kolb's experiential learning theory -

본 연구의 목적은 동화책 제작에 참여한 다섯 명의 대학생들이 이번 동아리 활동을 통해 어떤 경험을 하였는지에 관해 Kolb의 경험학습 이론의 관점으로 분석하였다. 이를 위한 자료수집은 B시 K대학교에 3학년과 4학년에 재학 중인 5명의 대학생들을 대상으로 2023년 8월부터 12월까지 총 5차례에 걸친 면담자료들을 활용하여 동화책 완성하기까지의 과정과 경험을 분석하였다. 결과적으로 실제 동화책을 제작하는 과정을 통해 연구에 참여한 연구 참여자들은 ‘처음 경험하는 상황에 당황함’,‘어설프지만 경험들이 축적 되어짐’, ‘조금씩 행동의 변화를 위한 시도를 해 봄’,‘부정적인 감정 조절 과정을 경험함’,‘서로에 대한 이해의 폭이 넓어짐’,‘내재된 정서적인 자원을 활용함’,‘긍정적인 정서와 감정이 생겨남’이라는 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 대학생들에게 전공이나 학점 또는 자격증 취득 등의 학습도 중요하지만 더 많은 경험을 할 수 있는 동아리 활동으로 이들의 진로와 꿈을 향한 활동 경험이 필요하며 다양한 활동들을 지원해 줄 수 있는 프로그램들이 많이 확대되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the experiences of five college students who participated in the production of a fairy tale book through this club activity from the perspective of Kolb's experiential learning theory. For this purpose, data was collected from five interviews conducted from August to December 2023 with five college students in their third and fourth years at K University in City B, and the process and experiences leading up to the completion of the fairy tale book were analyzed. As a result, the research participants who participated in the process of producing an actual picture book derived the following research results: ‘bewildered by new situations’, ‘accumulated experiences although awkward’, ‘attempted to change behavior little by little’, ‘experienced the process of regulating negative emotions’, ‘broadened the scope of understanding of each other’, ‘utilized inherent emotional resources’, and ‘created positive emotions and feelings’. Based on these research results, it is expected that in addition to learning such as majoring, credits, or obtaining qualifications, college students need more experience through club activities and programs that can support their career paths and dreams.
