현대교육의 지향점에 대한 비판적 접근: 영화 <스쿨 오브 락(樂)>을 중심으로

A Critical Approach to the Direction of Modern Education: Focusing on the Film <School of Rock>

이 연구는 영화 <스쿨 오브 락(樂)>을 중심으로 현대교육의 지향점에 대해 비판하고, 나아가 새로운 지향점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 현행 학교교육 지향점의 문제에 대해 비판하고, 그 대안으로 학생중심 교육과정으로의 전환과 인간중심 생활지도의 필요성을 제시한다. 이어 가정교육 지향점의 문제에 대해 비판하고, 이를 타개하기 위해서는 부모의 청소년기에 대한 재개념화와 4차 산업혁명기의 교육에 대한 이해가 필요함을 역설한다. 이와 같은 연구결과가 현실에 반영되기 위해서는 다음과 같은 부분의 변화가 수반되어야 함을 제언한다. 첫째, 교사와 부모는 아이들이 스스로 삶을 개척할 수 있는 능력이 있는 존재라는 사실을 신뢰하여야 한다. 둘째, 고교학점제도의 적극적 활용과 지지가 필요하다. 셋째, 학교교육에 대한 사회적 인식 변화가 필요하다.

This study aims to critique the current direction of modern education through the lens of the film <School of Rock> and to propose a new educational orientation. To this end, it first critiques the current state of school education and suggests a shift toward a student-centered curriculum, along with the need for proactive life guidance as an alternative. It then examines the state of education within families, arguing that parents need to develop a deeper understanding of their children and adapt to the evolving educational landscape. For these research findings to be effectively implemented in practice, the following changes must be implemented: First, teachers and parents must trust that children possess the ability to shape their own lives independently. Second, the active implementation and support of the high school credit system are essential. Third, a shift in society’s perception of school education is required.
