체육교사의 생태형 스포츠 수업 운영 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

Phenomenological Study on Physical Education Teachers' Experiences in Conducting Ecological Sports Classes

이 연구는 체육교사들이 생태형 스포츠 수업을 운영하는 과정에서 경험하는 현상의 본질과 의미 구조를 심층적으로탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 생태형 스포츠 수업 운영 경험이 있는 5명의 체육교사를 대상으로 콜라이지(Colaizzi)의현상학적 분석 방법을 적용하여 연구결과를 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 체육교사들은 생태형 스포츠 수업이 지닌 교육적가치를 확인하고 교육과정 운영을 다양화할 기회라고 인식하였다. 이러한 수업은 학생들의 전인적 발달에 기여하며 평생체육으로 연계할 수 있고, 체육수업의 확장을 통해 통합적 학습 경험을 제공한다고 보았다. 둘째, 생태형 스포츠 수업 운영의어려움으로는 시설 및 장비 부족, 기후 및 시간 관리의 제약, 수업 전문성 및 정보 부족으로 인한 물리· 환경적 제약과 행정적 지원의 미비, 교육과정 운영의 경직으로 인한 행정·제도적 장벽이 도출되었다. 셋째, 생태형 스포츠 수업의 지속 가능한 운영을위해서는 지역사회 협력 네트워크 형성 및 행정적 지원 강화를 통한 지원체계 구축, 수업 연구 협력체계 구축을 통한 교사역량 강화가 필요하다고 보았다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 현장 체육교사들의 경험을 바탕으로 생태적 가치 중심의 체육교육을실현하기 위한 실천적 지식과 통합적 지원체계 구축의 필요성을 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The study aims to explore the essence and underlying meaning of the phenomena experienced by physical edu- cation (PE) teachers in the process of conducting ecological sports classes. To achieve this, a phenomenological research approach was employed using Colaizzi’s method, interviewing five PE teachers with experience in implementing ecological sports classes. The findings of this study are as follows. First, PE teachers perceived ecological sports classes as an opportu- nity to reaffirm the educational value of physical education and diversify curriculum implementation. These classes were per- ceived as promoting students’ holistic development, encouraging lifelong participation in physical activities, and expanding the scope of PE instruction to provide integrated learning experiences. Second, the challenges of conducting ecological sports classes included physical and environmental constraints, such as insufficient facilities and equipment, unexpected weather and time constraints, and insufficient expertise and instructional resources. Additionally, administrative and institutional barriers including inadequate administrative support and the rigid structure of curriculum operation were another limitation. Third, for the sustainable implementation of ecological sports classes, establishment of a robust support system is deemed essential by strengthening administrative assistance and fostering local community collaboration networks. Also enhancing teachers’ pro- fessional competencies through cooperative teaching and research initiatives was identified as a crucial factor. In conclusion, this study offers practical insights into implementing ecological sports education by drawing on the experiences of PE teach- ers. and highlights the need for a comprehensive support system to promote ecological values in PE and ensure the sustain- able operation of ecological sports classes.
