교육사각지대학습자 학업상담에서 상담사의 개입 경험에 대한 합의적 질적 연구

Consensual Qualitative Research on Counselors’ Intervention Experience of Academic Counseling for At-Risk Learners

본 연구는 교육사각지대학습자를 대상으로 한 학업상담에서 상담사의 개입과 그 경험의 의미를 확인하여 학업상담 상담사가 교육사각지대학습자의 학업발달을 지원하기 위해 활용 가능한 기초자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교육사각지대학습자 학업상담 경험이 있는 15명의 상담사에 대한 심층면담자료를 합의적 질적 연구 방법(CQR)을 통해 이차자료로 분석하였으며, 3명의 연구자와 2명의 감수자가 분석에 참여하였다. 분석 결과, ‘학습자 이해를 바탕으로 한 치료적 동맹관계 형성’, ‘구조화를 활용한 학업상담 이해 증진’, ‘학습자 수준에 따른 맞춤형 학습 개입’, ‘성취 경험과 보상 제공을 통한 학습 동기 강화’, ‘학습자의 심리․정서적 발달을 위한 교육과 훈련’, ‘학습자를 위한 협력자원 연계와 복지지원’의 6개 영역과 총 22개의 범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 기존 학업상담의 절차가 교육사각지대학습자에게도 적용이 가능하며, 상담사는 교육사각지대학습자의 학업발달을 위해 학습자의 심리․정서적 발달 및 환경적 차원에의 조력 또한 중요하게 여기고 있음을 확인하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 제언을 제시하였다.

This study aims to provide basic data that can be used by academic counseling counselors to support the academic development of at-risk learners by confirming the intervention of the counselor and the meaning of the experience in academic counseling for at-risk learners. To this end, in-depth interview data for 15 counselors with academic counseling experience for at-risk learners were analyzed as secondary data through the consensual qualitative research(CQR) method, and three researchers and two auditors participated in the analysis. As a result of the analysis, six areas and a total of 22 categories were derived: ‘forming therapeutic alliances based on learner understanding’, ‘promoting understanding of academic counseling using structuring’, ‘advanced learning intervention according to learner level’, ‘strengthening learning motivation through providing achievement experience and rewards’, ‘education and training for learners’ ‘psychological and emotional development’, and ‘connection of cooperative resources and welfare support for learners’. Through this study, it was confirmed that the existing academic counseling procedures can also be applied to at-risk learners, and that counselors consider the learner’s psychological and emotional development and assistance at the environmental level also important for the academic development of at-risk learners. Finally, the significance, limitations, and suggestions of this study were presented.
