토픽 모델링 기반 유아교육 분야 인공지능 연구동향 분석

A topic modeling-based analysis of research trends in artificial intelligence within the field of early childhood education

본 연구는 유아교육 분야에서 인공지능(AI) 기술의 연구 동향을 분석하고, 이를 토픽 모델링 기법을 통해 주요 주제를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 2017년부터 2024년까지 발표된 유아교육 분야의 관련 논문들을 대상으로 AI의 주요 활용 동향을 분석하였다. 토픽 모델링 분석 결과, (1)인공지능(AI) 영유아 융합교육, (2)인공지능(AI) 영유아 학습 콘텐츠 개발 및 학부모 요구, (3)인공지능(AI) 스피커 기반 영유아 교수학습 활동, (4)유아교사(예비)의 인공지능(AI)인식 및 교육 경험, (5) 유아교사(예비)의 인공지능(AI)활용 역량 및 교육 등 5개의 토픽이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 기존의 기술적 논의에서 벗어나, 유아교육에 AI가 통합되는 방식과 그 연구 흐름을 종합적으로 분석하는 점에서 차별성을 가지며, 향후 AI가 유아교육에 미치는 가능성과 구체적인 적용 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

This study analyzes current research trends related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in early childhood education using topic modeling. The primary objective is to identify core thematic domains and propose future directions for the pedagogical integration of AI technologies. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), this study analyzed scholarly publications related to AI in early childhood education, published between 2017 and 2024, thereby identifying key research themes and tracing their development over time. The analysis yielded five prominent topics: (1) AI-integrated education for young children, (2) development of AI-based educational content reflecting parental expectations, (3) implementation of AI speakers in instructional settings, (4) perceptions and experiences of pre-service and in-service early childhood educators concerning AI integration, and (5) development of AI-related competencies among educators. These findings highlight the increasing recognition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative agent in early childhood education—contributing to the enhancement of children's creativity, the advancement of family involvement, the professional development of educators, and the articulation of ethical and policy considerations. By transcending a solely technical framework, this study provides a comprehensive perspective on the conceptual foundations and practical applications of AI within the early childhood education landscape.
