This case report shows an orthodontic treatment of a 27-year-old male patient with hypodivergent Class II skeletal pattern. The patient exhibited a deep overbite, lingual tilt of the mandibular right second premolar, and constriction of the maxillary and mandibular arches. A hyrax type expander was used to expand the maxillary arch and a lingual arch (titanium molybdenum alloy, TMA) was used to upright the mandibular posterior teeth. Anterior bite plane and utility arch were used to intrude the mandibular anterior teeth. Miniscrews, sliding jig, and chain elastics were used to distalize the maxillary posterior teeth. And then, step-up combination loop archwire was used to retract and intrude the maxillary anterior teeth. For retention, a maxillary circumferential retainer with anterior bite plane was used along with a mandibular bonded retainer.
