The permanent maxillary canines are the most frequently impacted teeth after the third molars, and may be associated with resorption of adjacent teeth. Diagnosis and treatment of this problem typically require specialized knowledge and collaboration not only from orthodontics but also from general dentistry, dental radiology, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, and dental conservation. Early diagnosis and appropriate preventive orthodontic treatment of impacted canines in mixed dentition patients are crucial for preventing root resorption of adjacent teeth and facilitating a smooth transition to permanent dentition. Additionally, addressing impacted maxillary canines in adolescents or adults typically necessitates surgical exposure at the appropriate time, often involving orthodontic treatment. This paper aims to report six cases of impacted maxillary canines.
