This case report discusses the management of a palatally impacted maxillary right canine in a female patient during the late mixed dentition period. Maxillary permanent canines typically erupt between the ages of 9 and 12. Canine impaction may be suspected when primary canines fail to exfoliate, show no mobility, and especially when one permanent canine has erupted while the contralateral one has not. In this case, the treatment of maxillary canine with deep palatal intraosseous impaction required surgical exposure and orthodontic force for effective tooth guidance. The treatment plan included a palatal arch with a hook, a removable appliance with a working wire, and several types of sectional wires combined with an indirect skeletal anchorage system using a tooth stabilized with a miniscrew. This approach minimized the number of teeth involved in the orthodontic appliance and successfully corrected the position of palatal impacted canine to achieve normal occlusion. The indirect skeletal anchorage system provided effective control facilitating the eruption and proper alignment of the impacted canine.
