대학생의 생성형 AI 도구 활용과 출처 및 윤리 준수 인식에 관한 탐색적 분석: K대학교 사례를 중심으로

An Exploratory Analysis of University Students’ Use of Generative AI Tools and their Perception of Citation and Ethical Compliance: Focusing on the Case of K University

본 연구는 대학생들의 생성형 AI 도구 활용 실태와 출처 및 윤리 준수 인식에 대해 탐색적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 K대학교 재학생을 대상으로 생성형 AI 도구 활용 실태 및 출처와 윤리 준수 인식을 설문조사를 통해 파악하였으며, 수집된 데이터는 기술통계, 독립표본 -검정, 일원분산분석, 상관분석 등의 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 대학생들의 생성형 AI 도구 출처 및 윤리 준수 인식의 전체 평균은 보통 수준으로 나타났으며, 성별, 학년, 전공계열과 같은 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 평균 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 생성형 AI 도구 활용 실태와 출처 및 윤리 준수 인식 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, AI 도구 답변의 출처 표기 이해와 AI 도구 활용 윤리 이해 간의 관계를 제외한 나머지 변수들 간에는 유의미한 상관관계가 존재했다. 셋째, 생성형 AI 도구의 유료 또는 무료 사용 여부에 따른 출처 및 윤리 준수 인식의 차이를 분석한 결과, 유료 사용자 집단이 무료 사용자 집단보다 출처 표기 이해 및 윤리 준수 인식에서 모두 더 높은 평균을 나타났으며, 이 차이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 본 연구는 생성형 AI 도구 활용으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 교육적 불평등과 디지털 격차 해소를 위한 정책적 지원과 교육적 접근의 필요성을 강조하며, AI 도구 활용에 대한 실질적이고 실천적인 교육 프로그램을 강화하여 학습자들의 윤리적 인식과 태도를 개선할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.

This study exploratorily analyzed the current state of university students' use of generative AI tools and their perception of citation and ethical compliance. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on students at K University to understand their use of generative AI tools and their perception of citation and ethics. The collected data were analyzed using methods such as descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and correlation analysis. The analysis revealed three key findings. First, the overall average of university students' perception of citation and ethical compliance for generative AI tools was moderate, and there were no statistically significant differences in the average perception based on demographic characteristics such as gender, academic year, and major field of study. Second, the correlation analysis between the use of generative AI tools and the perception of citation and ethical compliance showed significant correlations among most variables, with the exception of the relationship between the understanding of citing AI tool responses and the understanding of AI usage ethics. Third, the analysis of differences in the perception of citation and ethical compliance based on paid versus free use of generative AI tools indicated that the paid user group showed a higher average perception in both understanding of citation and ethical compliance compared to the free user group, and this difference was statistically significant. The findings of this study highlight the need for policy support and educational approaches to address the educational inequality and digital divide that may arise from the use of generative AI tools. It is suggested that there is a need to improve learners' ethical perception and attitudes by strengthening practical and action-oriented educational programs on the use of AI tools.
