In the context of rapid internet development, modern music in South Korea and China has increasingly displayed diverse characteristics and gained more public favor compared to traditional music. By integrating elements of traditional music with modern music styles—such as combining traditional instruments with vocal composition elements—this fusion not only preserves the unique qualities of traditional music but also revitalizes it. This blending of styles fosters cross-cultural exchange and innovation, establishing itself as a new trend in contemporary music development. This paper aims to analyze the characteristics of the fusion between traditional and modern music in South Korea and China, compare the current state of their evolution, explore the application of fusion music, and highlight future directions for innovation, in order to promote intergenerational exchange and preservation of Korean and Chinese traditional music within the context of modern music.
