우간다 예비음악교사교육을 위한 교과목 개발 연구: AIM 대학을 중심으로

A Study on the Development of Courses for Pre-service Music Teacher Education in Uganda : Focusing on the Africa Institute of Music

본 연구의 목적은 우간다의 AIM 대학을 중심으로 예비음악교사교육을 위한 교과목을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해, 우선 우간다 학교 음악교육과 예비음악교사교육의 현황과 과제를 고찰하고, AIM 대학의 음악 교사 교육 관련 교육과정의 내용과 구성, 현지 교수진과 학생의 요구를 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 ‘Introduction to Music Education’, ‘Music Pedagogy’, ‘Understanding and Practice of ICT-based Music Education’의 세 교과목을 선정하였으며, 교과목 개발 원칙을 수립한 후 각 교과목의 강의 개요 및 강의 계획서를 제시하고, 교과목별로 13주차 세부 강의안과 교수 지원을 위한 PPT 강의 자료를 개발하였다. 본 연구는 AIM 대학과 유사한 교육환경에 있는 다른 교사 양성기관에서도 적용 가능하며, 향후 예비음악교사교육과정 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop courses for pre-service music teacher education, focusing on AIM University in Uganda. To this end, the study first examined the current status of school music education and pre-service music teacher education in Uganda, and analyzed the content and structure of the music teacher education curriculum at AIM University, as well as the needs of local faculty and students. Based on these analyses, principles for course development were established, and three courses—Introduction to Music Education, Music Pedagogy, and Understanding and Practice of ICT-based Music Education—were selected. For each course, a course overview, syllabus, 13-week detailed lesson plans, and PPT teaching materials were developed. This study is applicable to other teacher training institutions with similar educational environments to AIM University and can serve as foundational data for future curriculum development in pre-service music teacher education.
