This study examined the effects of post-waxing aftercare on skin recovery and consumer satisfaction. Nine participants in their 30s from Andong and Daegu were enrolled, with the face divided into a control and an aftercare side. Skin moisture and oil were measured at baseline, 24h, and 72h; erythema and troubles were visually assessed. In the aftercare group, skin moisture significantly increased from baseline at 24h (p = .047) and 72h (p = .002). Oil showed no significant change at 24h (p = .090) but increased significantly at 72h (p = .006). The control group showed no significant differences across time points. Erythema and troubles were observed in 3 of 9 subjects but were not statistically significant. Survey results indicated that 66.7% reported positive effects on skin improvement and satisfaction, and the same proportion expressed willingness for reuse. These findings suggest that post-waxing aftercare contributes to skin barrier recovery and consumer satisfaction, highlighting the need for further research toward personalized and standardized care protocols.
