The present study examined the mediating effect of attachment anxiety on the relationship between parental emotional abuse and non-assertiveness. Also, this study aimed to investigate the mediating effect of attachment anxiety on the relationship between parental emotional abuse and domineering. Data were collected from 177 university students and analyzed using SPSS PROCESS macro 3.5. The results showed that attachment anxiety had significant mediating effect between emotional abuse and non-assertiveness. In addition, attachment anxiety mediated the relationship between parental emotional abuse and domineering. The results of this study suggested that parental emotional abuse affects non-assertiveness and domineering through attachment anxiety in university students. Based on these findings, interventions for non-assertiveness and domineering were explored.
