This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between mindfulness and job satisfaction among play therapists. A total of 324 play therapists working at child counseling centers and hospitals across Korea participated in a survey. Correlation analyses were conducted to examine the relationships among mindfulness, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction, and mediation analysis using SPSS 27.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2 was performed to verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy. The results indicated that mindfulness showed significant positive correlations with both self-efficacy and job satisfaction, and self-efficacy was found to partially mediate the relationship between mindfulness and job satisfaction. These findings suggest that intervention strategies to enhance not only mindfulness but also self-efficacy may be effective in improving job satisfaction among play therapists. Furthermore, the results provide foundational data supporting the integration of mindfulness-based approaches into therapist training and education programs.
