The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of environmental education activities using picture books on young children's environmental sensitivity and environment-friendly attitudes. The participants were 30 six-year-old children enrolled in H and Y daycare centers located in U metropolitan city (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group). The collected data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests and paired samples t-tests with SPSS 30.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, environmental education activities using picture books significantly improved children's environmental sensitivity. Second, environment-friendly attitudes also showed significant improvement in the experimental group. These findings suggest that picture books, as a familiar medium for young children, can serve as an effective instructional tool for fostering environmental sensitivity and environment-friendly attitudes in early childhood education.
