유아교육기관 원장 리더십 관련 연구동향 분석 -2016년~2025년을 중심으로

Research trends in the leadership of early childhood education institution directors: An analysis from 2016 to 2025

본 연구는 2016년부터 2025년까지 최근 10년간 한국연구재단 등재 및 등재후보 학술지에 게재된 유아교육기관 원장 리더십 관련 논문 117편을 분석하여, 효과적인 리더십 실천 방안을 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구 결과, 원장 리더십에 관한 논문은 2019년부터 2021년 사이에 가장 많이 발표되었다. 연구 대상별로는 교사를 대상으로 한 논문이 가장 많았고, 다음으로 원장, 원감 순이었다. 연구 방법은 양적연구가 주를 이루었다. 리더십 유형별로는 감성 리더십에 관한 관심이 가장 높았고, 이어서 변혁적 리더십, 서번트 리더십, 진정성 리더십, 코칭 리더십, 윤리적 리더십 등 다양한 리더십 유형이 연구되었다. 마지막으로, 원장 리더십 연구의 관련변인으로는 교사의 직무만족이나 효능감 등 개인적 요인이 가장 많았고, 조직적 요인, 심리적 요인에 관한 연구가 일부 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 유아교육기관에서 원장 리더십의 중요성을 확인하고, 현장 중심의 리더십 개발을 위한 방안 마련에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

This study analyzed 117 research articles on the leadership of principals in early childhood education institutions, published in Korea Citation Index (KCI)-accredited and candidate journals from 2016 to 2025, with the intention of suggesting effective leadership practices. The results showed that the largest number of studies on principal leadership were published between 2019 and 2021. Regarding research subjects, studies focusing on teachers were the most common, followed by those on principals and vice-principals. Quantitative research methods predominated. Regarding leadership types, emotional leadership received the most attention, followed by transformational leadership, servant leadership, authentic leadership, coaching leadership, ethical leadership and various other leadership types. Concerning related variables, individual factors such as teachers’ job satisfaction and efficacy were most frequently studied, whereas relatively fewer studies addressed psychological factors. These findings highlight the importance of principals’ leadership in early childhood education institutions and provide practical implications for developing field-oriented leadership strategies.
