큐레토리얼 실천을 위한 미술과 교수·학습 방법 연구 및 적용

A Study and Application of Teaching and Learning Methods in Art Education Based on Curatorial Practice

본 연구는 큐레토리얼 실천의 개념과 교육적 의의를 바탕으로 미술교육에서 큐레토리얼 실천 중심 교수·학습 방법을 고안하고 이를 적용하여 교육적 가능성과 효과를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 문헌 연구를 통해 큐레토리얼 실천을 위한 교수·학습 요소 7가지와 교수·학습 모형을 제안하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 개발한 프로그램을 초등학교 6학년 1학급에 적용하였다. 적용 결과, 학생들은 작품을 비판적으로 해석하고 시각적 내러티브를 구성하는 능력을 신장하였으며, 전시가 다양한 해석이 가능한 열린 구조임을 이해하였다. 또한, 자기 주도적 학습과 의사소통, 반성적 성찰을 통합적으로 경험하였다. 본 연구는 큐레토리얼 실천 중심의 교수·학습 방법을 개발하고 실천함으로써 미술교육 수업 설계의 확장 가능성을 보여주었다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study aims to develop a teaching and learning method in art education grounded in the concept and pedagogical value of curatorial practice, and to examine its educational potential and effectiveness through classroom application. Based on a literature review, the study identified seven core elements of curatorial teaching and learning and proposed an instructional model incorporating these elements. The developed program was implemented with a sixth-grade class in an elementary school. The results indicate that students enhanced their ability to critically interpret artworks and construct visual narratives, while also recognizing exhibitions as open-ended structures that allow for multiple interpretations. Furthermore, students engaged in self-directed learning, collaborative communication, and reflective thinking in an integrated manner. This study demonstrates the potential of curatorial practice as a pedagogical approach that expands instructional design in art education through critical, process-oriented, and participatory learning.
