오늘날 브레이킹은 단순한 춤을 넘어 문화적, 예술적, 스포츠적 정체성을 지닌 전 세계적인 콘텐츠로 확장되었다. 특히 브레이킹 배틀은 창의성과 상호작용, 규칙성과 질서를 포함한 특수한 형식의 춤 문화로 자리 잡았다. 본 연구는 요한 하위징아의 호모 루덴스에 제시된 놀이의 일반적 특성을 바탕으로 브레이킹 배틀이 지닌 놀이적 속성을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 브레이킹 배틀이 지닌 문화적 정체성을 새롭게 이해하고, 실용무용 교육에서의 적용 가능성을 탐색한다.
Today, breaking has developed beyond dance into a global cultural, artistic, and sports identity. In particular, breaking battles have established themselves as a unique form of dance culture that includes creativity, interaction, rules, and order. This study aims to analyze the ludic characteristics of breaking battles based on Johan Huizinga's theory in 『Homo Ludens』. Through this, the study seeks to reinterpret the cultural identity of breaking battles and explore their applicability in practical dance education.
