세븐틴 <손오공>안무에 나타난 포메이션 F.S.B의 상징성과 서사 구조 분석

Analysis of the Symbolism of the Formation F.S.B and Narrative Structure in SEVENTEEN's "Son Goku" Choreography

본 연구는 K-POP 퍼포먼스의 공간 구성 전략 중 하나로서 F.S.B(F: Front, S: Side, B: Back) 위치 개념을 이론화하고, 세븐틴의 대표곡〈손오공> 안무를 분석하였다. 특히 포메이션 변화와 공간 내 댄서들의 배치 방식이 작품에 어떠한 상징적 의미 형성하는지를 살펴보았다. 본 분석은 안무가 최영준의 인터뷰와 퍼포먼스 영상 자료를 바탕으로 구성되었으며, F.S.B 포지션이 단순히 시각적 멋을 위한 구성이 아닌 전략적으로 비언어적 내러티브와 상징적인 기능으로 배치되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이번 연구를 통해 F.S.B 개념이 K-POP 안무뿐 아니라 메가크루 무대, 현대무용, 뮤지컬 퍼포먼스 등 다양한 장르에서 창작과 분석의 유용한 도구로 확장 가능함을 제언하였다. 한편 퍼포먼스 구성에서 공간 활용의 중요성과 함께, 위치 기반 역할 분담의 전략적 사고를 통한 포지션의 배치가 어떠한 상징적 의미로 해석할 수 있는가에 대한 가능성을 학술적으로 제시한다.

This study theorized the concept of F.S.B (F: Front, S: Side, B: Back) positioning as a spatial composition strategy in K-pop performances and analyzed the choreography of Seventeen's representative song "Son Goku." In particular, it examined how formation changes and the arrangement of dancers within the space create symbolic meaning within the work. This analysis, based on interviews with choreographer Choi Young-jun and performance video footage, confirmed that the F.S.B position is not simply a composition for visual appeal, but is strategically placed to convey nonverbal narrative and symbolic function. This study suggests that the F.S.B concept can be expanded to serve as a useful tool for creation and analysis not only in K-pop choreography but also in various genres, including mega-crew performances, contemporary dance, and musical performances. Furthermore, it presents academic research on the importance of spatial utilization in performance composition and the potential for interpreting the symbolic meaning of positional arrangements through strategic thinking about location-based role division.
