AHP기법을 활용한 어머니와 유아교사의 그림책 선정기준에 대한 상대적 중요도 분석

Analysis of the Relative Importance of Picture Book Selection Criteria for Mothers and Early Childhood Teachers Using the AHP Method

본 연구는 그림책의 실질적인 개발 및 선택 기준을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 어머니 15명과 유아교사 15명 등 총 30명을 대상으로, AHP를 활용하여 유아 그림책 선정 기준의 상대적 중요도를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 1계층은 유아 그림책 선정기준으로 ‘내용성’을 가장 중요하게 보는 것으로 나타났고, 이어 ‘내구성’, ‘조화성’, ‘흥미성’, ‘대중성’ 순으로 나타났다. 2계층은 ‘내용의 지식’을 가장 중요하게 보는 것으로 나타났고, 이어 ‘내용의 재미’와 ‘종이의 질’ 순으로 나타났다. 어머니와 교사 간 인식은 전반적으로 유사하였으나, 어머니는 ‘도덕적 교훈’을, 교사는 ‘실생활 연계’와 ‘그림의 매력’을 상대적으로 더 중요하게 평가한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 유아 그림책이 내용적 충실성, 흥미 유발, 물리적 견고함 등의 다각적인 요소를 고르게 갖춰야 함을 시사한 것으로 보인다. 또한, 그림책에 대한 교사와 부모의 미세한 관점 차이를 고려한 맞춤형 정보 제공이 필요하다는 것도 시사하는 결과라고 할 만하다.

This study aimed to present practical criteria for the development and selection of picture books for young children. To this end, a total of 30 participants, including 15 mothers and 15 early childhood teachers, were surveyed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to analyze the relative importance of picture book selection criteria. The analysis revealed that in the first-level hierarchy, “content” was identified as the most important factor, followed by “durability,” “harmony,” “interest,” and “popularity.” At the second level, “knowledge of content” was rated as the most significant factor, followed by “interest in content” and “quality of paper.” Although the perceptions of mothers and teachers were generally similar, mothers considered “moral lessons” relatively more important, whereas teachers placed greater emphasis on “practical relevance” and “attractiveness of illustrations.” These findings suggest that picture books for young children should strike a balance among various elements, including content quality, engagement, and physical durability. In addition, the results imply the necessity of providing tailored information that reflects the subtle differences in perspectives between parents and teachers.
