중년 여성의 분리개별화와 성인애착의 관계에서 마음챙김의 매개효과

Mindfulness as a Mediator in the Relationship Between Separation-Individuation and Adult Attachment Among Middle-Aged Women

본 연구는 중년 여성의 분리개별화가 성인애착에 미치는 영향에서 마음챙김의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 부산․경남 지역의 만40~64세의 중년 여성 358명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS 25.0을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 중년 여성의 개별화가 공생관계보다, 회피애착이 불안애착보다 높았으며, 마음챙김은 평균 이상으로 나타났다. 둘째, 분리개별화, 성인애착, 마음챙김 간에는 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 분리개별화와 성인애착은 유의한 부적 상관을 보였으며, 분리개별화와 마음챙김은 유의한 정적 상관을, 마음챙김과 성인애착은 유의한 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 중년 여성의 분리개별화 수준이 높을수록 마음챙김이 향상되며, 이는 배우자와의 안정된 애착 형성에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 중년 여성의 심리적 적응을 위한 마음챙김의 활용 가능성을 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of mindfulness on the relationship between separation-individuation and adult attachment among middle-aged women. Methods: A self-report survey was conducted with 358 middle-aged women aged 40 to 64 residing in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions of South Korea. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, employing Pearson’s correlation and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: First, participants showed higher levels of individuation than separation-individuation, along with higher levels of avoidant attachment as compared to anxious attachment. Second, significant correlations were found among separation-individuation, adult attachment, and mindfulness. Third, separation-individuation had both a direct effect on adult attachment and an indirect effect through mindfulness on adult attachment. Mindfulness was found to partially mediate this relationship. Conclusion: These findings suggest that higher levels of separation-individuation in middle-aged women are associated with enhanced mindfulness, which in turn may contribute to the formation of stable attachment with spouses. This study highlights the potential of mindfulness as a psychological resource to support the emotional adjustment of middle-aged women.
