부모교육을 활용한 상호작용가족놀이치료가 발달지연 자녀를 둔 가족에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Interaction-Based Family Play Therapy Utilizing Parent Education on Families With Developmentally Delayed Children

본 연구는 발달지연 아동을 둔 가족을 대상으로 부모교육을 활용한 상호작용가족놀이치료의 효과를 탐색하였다. 발달지연은 발달장애와 달리 진단이 확정되지 않은 상태에서 발달 과제의 성취가 지연되는 특성을 지니며, 조기 개입을 통해 발달 궤도의 회복 가능성이 높고 ‘장애’라는 명칭이 주는 낙인을 최소화할 수 있다는 점에서 연구의 초점을 두었다. 부모교육을 활용한 상호작용가족놀이치료를 적용한 결과, 부모의 양육스트레스가 감소하였고 애정적․자율적 양육태도는 향상된 반면, 거부적․통제적 태도는 감소하는 긍정적 변화가 나타났다. 또한 가족 간 상호작용에서도 정서적 유대와 협력 중심의 변화가 관찰되었으며, 놀이 경험을 통해 부모와 자녀 간의 긍정적 관계가 강화되고 가정 내 놀이문화가 자연스럽게 형성되었다. 더 나아가 실험집단과 대조집단을 비교한 결과, 실험집단에서는 양육스트레스와 양육태도 모두에서 유의미한 개선이 나타난 반면 대조집단에서는 변화가 없거나 부정적 경향을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 가족 전체를 하나의 체계로 보고 맞춤형 개입을 적용하는 것이 발달지연 아동 가족의 상호작용 증진과 부모의 심리적 부담 완화에 효과적임을 입증하는 것으로, 가족치료적 접근의 실천적 가능성과 필요성을 강조한다.

Objectives: This study investigated the effects of interaction-based family play therapy incorporating parent education for families with children experiencing developmental delays. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed, with families in the experimental group participating in the program while those in the control group did not. Standardized measures and qualitative observations were used to assess parenting stress, parenting attitudes, and family interactions before and after the intervention. Results: Results indicated that parents in the intervention group experienced significant reductions in parenting stress and rejecting–controlling attitudes, alongside notable increases in affectionate and autonomy-supportive attitudes. Furthermore, family interactions improved through enhanced emotional bonds, cooperation, and the establishment of a family play culture, whereas no such improvements, and in some cases negative trends, were observed in the control group. Conclusions: These findings suggest that integrating parent education with family play therapy provides an effective approach to promoting healthier family dynamics and alleviating parental psychological burdens, underscoring the value of early and system-focused interventions for families of children with developmental delays.
