인공지능 윤리 원칙을 중심으로 한 초등 수업 설계 연구

A Study on the Design of Elementary School Classes Based on AI Ethics Principles

최근 인공지능이 빠르게 발전하면서 사회 전반에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 2022개정 교육과정에서도 언어, 수리 기초 소양과 더불어 디지털 기초 소양을 함양할 것을 강조하고 있다. 특히 인공지능과 관련된 교육 중에서도 AI 발전으로 인한 문제들이 발생하면서 인공지능 윤리 교육에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 OECD, UNESCO, 과학기술정보통신부의 인공지능 윤리 원칙들을 살펴본 후 공통으로 언급되는 것을 위주로 수업에서 다룰 원칙들을 추출하였다. 이와 더불어 인공지능 윤리 원칙과 초등 교육과정과의 연계 가능성을 살펴보았다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 모두 다섯 차시의 수업을 설계하였는데 플립러닝, 조사 학습, 문제 해결 학습, 모둠 협력 학습 등 다양한 학습 형태를 활용하였다. 우선 인공지능 윤리 원칙을 학습하고 인공지능과 관련된 문제 상황을 조사하며 해당 문제 상황을 해결하는 데에 필요한 윤리 원칙을 선정한다. 그리고 사용자와 개발자의 입장에서 윤리 가이드라인을 만든 후 디지털 도구를 활용하여 표현하고 발표하는 수업을 설계하였다. 본 논문은 설계 중심의 이론적 고찰에 초점을 두고 있기에 실제 수업에 적용하여 효과성을 분석하고 수업을 수정, 보완해 나가는 후속 연구가 필요할 것이다.

Recently, AI technology has developed rapidly and has had a significant impact on society. In response, the 2022 revised curriculum emphasizes not only the development of digital literacy but also foundational literacies in language and mathematics. In particular, the importance of AI ethics education is growing as various ethical issues emerge from AI advancement. This study examines AI ethics principles proposed by the OECD, UNESCO, and the Ministry of Science and ICT, and identifies key elements to be addressed in classroom instruction. Based on these principles, a total of five lessons were designed, incorporating various instructional methods such as flipped learning, inquiry-based learning, problem-based learning, and collaborative group work. In the lessons, students first explore AI ethics principles, investigate real-world problems related to AI, and determine which ethical principles are necessary to address those problems. They then develop ethical guidelines from the perspectives of both users and developers, and express their ideas using digital tools. As this study focuses on a design-oriented theoretical approach, further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the lessons through practical application in real classroom settings.
