국내외 발달장애인의 생애주기별 강점 기반 중재에 관한 범위연구

A Scoping Review of Strengths-Based Interventions for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Across the Life Span: Domestic and International Perspectives

본 연구는 발달장애인의 생애주기별 강점 기반 중재에 관한 국내외 연구 동향을 분석하여 현장 실천과 후속 연구에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 범위연구(scoping review) 방법을 활용하여 2007년부터 2025년까지 발표된 선행연구 총 23편(국내 9편, 국외 14편)에 대한 연도별 동향, 연구 참여자, 연구 방법, 중재 특성의 전반적인 동향을 살펴보고, 하위 연구 주제별로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 연구는 2007년부터 꾸준히 이루어졌으나 논문 수가 적어 학문적 관심이 상대적으로 미비하였고, 학령기 연구 참여자와 자폐성 장애인을 대상으로 한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있었으며 다양한 중재 영역에서 양적 및 질적연구가 고루 수행되고 있었다. 하위주제들은 (1) 강점 기반 중재의 긍정적 영향, (2) 강점 기반 중재 실행의 어려움, (3) 강점 활용을 위한 지원방안으로 분류되었다. 본 연구의 분석 결과를 바탕으로 발달장애인의 생애주기별 강점 기반 중재 관련 현장 실천과 후속 연구에 대한 시사점이 논의되었다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze domestic and international research trends on strengths-based interventions across the lifespan for individuals with developmental disabilities, in order to derive implications for practice and future research. Using a scoping review methodology, a total of 23 papers (9 domestic and 14 international) published between 2007 and 2025 were examined according to publication year, participant characteristics, research methods, intervention features, and sub-themes. The analysis revealed that, although research in this field has been conducted steadily since 2007, the number of publications remains limited, indicating relatively low scholarly attention. Studies predominantly involved school-aged participants and individuals with autism spectrum disorder, with both quantitative and qualitative approaches applied across diverse intervention domains. The identified sub-themes were (1) the positive impacts of strengths-based interventions, (2) challenges in implementation, and (3) strategies for supporting the utilization of strengths. Based on these findings, This study discusses implications for the implementation of strengths-based interventions across the lifespan for individuals with developmental disabilities and directions for future research.
